From Home – REAL Deals
Work at Home
opportunities seem to be abounding
everywhere. Every day thousands of
people are searching the internet looking for work at home
opportunities. These searches are not just
from stay at home
moms as one might think. College
students, senior citizens, disabled persons, and even currently
employed
workers are searching the internet for at home opportunities to make
more money. Working from home offers so
much flexibility
such as the hours worked, no commute time or hassles, and more time
with
family. With this much interest in an
area, it should be obvious that there will be lots of scammers also
getting
involved. That’s why I started looking
at all the work at home offers to see just how many are legitimate. Here’s a few I’ve checked out recently.
Mystery
shopper (also called
secret shopper). Mystery shoppers go on shopping trips
disguised as a typical customer. The
purpose is to evaluate a company’s performance based on a checklist
provided. Companies employ secret
shoppers to keep their managers and employees “on there toes.” When I
heard
about this opportunity to get paid to shop or eat, I just knew it had
to be a
scam. What I found was that there are
some that are definate scams and there others that are legitimate. Here’s the test. Some
are asking for a membership fee and
claiming that you can make hundreds of dollars a day.
If that’s the case, move on.
There are reliable companies offering this
service without a fee but not offering hundreds of dollars a day.
Several well known
business use
secret shoppers. Companies like
McDonalds, Texas Roadhouse, Taco Bell, and the Olive garden are just a
few who
regularly use secret shoppers. Mystery
shoppers often evaluate department stores, gas stations, golf courses,
grocery
stores, clothing stores, hotel, casinos, etc.
Yes, most work at home
jobs are
just scams but mystery shopping can be the exception.
Don’t plan on quitting that day job
however. Mystery shoppers usually get
paid $12-$15 an hour but that’s not exactly a full time income. Just how much shopping can you do in one day?
If you like to shop and
like to
review everything from how friendly a waitress is to if you were asked
if you'd
like to add an order of fries to your order -- even evaluating bathroom
cleanliness... mystery shopping just might be for you.
The hours and days are
flexible. You may not want to take some
assignments due to location or other time constraints.
My overall opinion is that this is a valid
opportunity but remember if they ask for a fee, avoid that one.
eBay. Everywere you go now, you hear someone
talking about buying or selling something on eBay.
They even have a new franchise that has
started up, Sell It on Ebay. It’s a
storefont where you can take items in that you want to sell and they do
all the
work. They post the ad and when it
sells, you collect the money less any commission that the eBay store
charges. For people that are not afraid
of the computer, eBay is very easy to get started with.
There is complete online assistance with
every piece of it.
Last year more than 1
million
people reported eBay as their primary or secondary source of income and
another
2 million say it is a supplemental source of income.
I've met people who've
done well
on eBay. I feel confident that this is a
very good way to create a profitable business.
So what do you sell? Did you hear the story of the young college
graduate that started going to all the garage sales and buying every CD
and DVD
she could find? She then put them on
eBay for sale. She made over $1 million
in just one year.
Google AdWords. Many of you have probably heard about the
book, Google Cash, by Chris Carpenter selling for $49.
Chris reveals exactly how he placed tiny
classified ads at Google.com and redirected their visitors to high
paying
affiliate programs -- getting paid with PayPal within 24 hours to 2
weeks. You
become an online matchmaker. You match
up people with problems and direct them to the company with a solution
and you
get paid commissions from that company for sending them the business.
A person looking for a
solution
to their problems submits a request to a search engine like Google.
Let’s say
they type in “pet products.” The Google
search engine will deliver search results in one of at least two ways.
The vast
majority of listings are displayed at no cost to the web site owner. But at the very top of the result's page is a
"Sponsored Link" ad and at the far right are also paid for ads.
You
might be surprised how easy it is. To get
started on Google AdWords, you apply
online and give them your $5 and you’re on your way.
You can have an ad running in less than an
hour.
Please understand that the Google Cash or
Google AdWords system does take some effort to make it work. There is
complete
online set up instructions on Google’s web site as well.
Also note that this same process works on
Yahoo as well. Another source you make
want to check out is Perry Marshall's The Definitive Guide to Google
AdWords. When you go to Perry’s site you
can sign up for a free home study course.
Definitely not a scam and
it will
take some work. This can be extremely
profitable!!
Day trading. Let me start out by saying that I think
every person serious about building a business should study the principles of day
trading. I don't mean they should
necessarily become a
day trader, but there is a lot to be learned by studying this approach
to
making money, such as how to minimize risk, and how to capitalize on
winning
opportunities.
Day trading requires an
enormous
amount of discipline and is a good model for the type of discipline
required
for any business to succeed.
The North American
Securities
Administrators Association says That 70% of day traders lose money. Personally, I don't think that's all that
horrendous. It's true of any business that only a small percentage of
the
people involved are disciplined enough to make the business work.
If
you still want to try your hand at day
trading, I suggest you check out the free eBook, Forex Freedom
first. Within this book you'll learn such
things as
how to build confidence while you try out different strategies and fine
tune
your skills. You will start out will a
small amount and compound your profits using a special risk management
method. You will use a proven and
tested, step-by-step strategy. There is
even a way to make money as an affiliate by
sending other
people to that forex
site. This way you can still make
money in the
market without being a day trader. Other
affiliate offers can be found on this site.
Online Marketing. We’ve
all heard those stories about people who go from broke to millionaire
in 1-2
years so we know it CAN be done. I always wondered about how
those
internet marketers got started and how could I get started without
getting
scammed. I thought about it for a long
time and one day I received an email that sparked my interest. There was a copy of an eBook called Perpetual Profits
which explained all the concepts of internet marketing.
It even discussed how to pick the correct
market to go into! It had step-by-step
procedures on how to build that web site. Another
facet that I found extremely helpful
was the fact that they had
a forum where I
could ask
question from others. They would even
look at my web site and tell me how to fix it. Once
you have the website up, your online
marketing possibilities are unlimited. You
can do affiliate
marketing, you
can do advertising, you can select whatever topic interests you and
offer that
to other people as well. All this
training and coaching was FREE. I know
that’s hard to believe. If this sounds
like something that you want to look into someday, make that day
today!
It could be what you’re looking for. It was for me!
Here’s to your future,
Karen Kelley
